I prefer Clearasil Cleaning Acne Scrub. It works like a charm. The first night I bought it, I used it. Not even within 10 minutes, the bumps on my face were fading and my skin was extremely smooth. This product is great. It’s inexpensive and I honestly think it works better than the $50 Proactive. Give it a try. I think it works very well, but than again we all have different skin types. If you also have back acne, Clearasil also works great with it! (: Best of luck! I know what you’re going through!
Collective Wellbeing – Change for the Better, it’s a three step acne kit you can get for $30 from your local Whole Foods or natural foods store. This stuff lasts for a few months, and it uses sulfur instead of benzoyl peroxide- so your skin does NOT dry out. I use this along with a prescription my dermatologist put me on, an antibiotic called Ampicillin. BUT this was to help me clear up bacterial acne around my jaw. I am only allowed to be on ampicillin for a few months and then I have to get off of it. It has definitely helped, but I believe most of my clearing up was from the Collective Wellbeing kit. I refuse to use Benzoyl peroxide anymore because of its long term damaging effects. Also, don’t waste your money on 60 dollar creams from your dermatologist. They put me on 5 different prescriptions at once and the ONLY thing that has helped was Ampicillin. I went on Makeupalley.com to research acne kits and discovered Collective Wellbeing’s..it got awesome ratings so I went ahead and tried it. IT IS AWESOME! It got rid of all the little bumps on my cheeks that my 10% benzoyl peroxide prescription face wash could not get rid of. I do get blackheads still on my nose, so for that I use Biore’s nose strips (these work the best, do NOT buy Ponds brand!) Hope these suggestions help. Oh and if the acne kit does NOT work for you, Whole Foods is really good about taking things back any time.
