What Acne Treatments Really Work? I Tried Everything! Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions?

I have tried proactiv and pretty much everything you can buy over the counter at walmart and other drugstores. I don’t really have severe acne I just have breakouts pretty often and its really irritating! help!

first of all i would stop using treatments that contain a lot of chemicals in them. they can cause you to break out instead of helping. try all natural face washes that have ingredients like avocado, lavender, and tea tree oil. pay close attention to what is in the product and research the ones your unsure about. i have been using zyporex and like it so far you should look into it.
Zeno works, but it’s pricey.
u can to your local doctor and go on the acne tablets. i used break out bad than my doctor put me on the acne tablets and my skin is great

you HAVE to check out acne.org…it is a GOD SEND!! i’ve had acne for years, went to dermatologists, tried EVERYTHING…prescription, pro active, cheap & expensive products!…i’ve been on ‘the regemin’ for about 2 and 1/2 weeks now and my skin is looking AMAZING! the best it has in YEARS, by far (i’m 23!)! I still can’t believe how cheap, simple & fantastic it is! you don’t need to buy specific products from the website or anything…you can if you want…just check it out…definitely worth the time…it’s just…amazing..gosh! i don’t even know what else to say!!!
I personally use Purpose (Johnson & Johnson) cleanser, 2.5% BP gel (only product i ordered from acne.org, just because it comes in a much larger quantity than you can buy in a store AND at a much better price), and 24 hour moisturizing lotion from Johnson & Johnson. You really only need about a nickel sized amount of the lotion. I’d recommend using a translucent powder after moisturizing, as the lotion makes my face look a little greasy at first (i use Physicians Formula) or you can just let it dry up (it will eventually), if you have the patience to wait for it to go away on it’s own.
I try to stick with J&J products, other than the BP of course, as opposed to others, as they are gentle enough to use on my SENSITIVE-breaks out from anything-skin!
I can not possibly praise it enough. There is no way you will regret it!!
Have you tried Nutrogenas 8-hr stuff? It works great.
Afriend of mine uses mens shaving gel….I don’t know if it works.
it might not be something you can fix with creams, you know hormonal or something i have the same problem, i’m trying drinking a lot of water and getting proper amounts of vitamins

You also might want to check your make up.. make sure it is oil free! That was a major thing with me..
What i have noticed is that when i drink lots of water(more than 1 or 2 bottles a day), my skin looks fresher and clearer.. Stress can also start breakouts, so try and relax a bit here and there!!
Cetaphil is really good
if you don’t have svere acne then stay away form acne meds because they will dry your skin. the acne meds are for severe acne only!!
