Will Primer Make My Acne Prone Skin Worse?

I’m 22 years old and I’m recovering from very bad acne I had as a teen. For the first time in as long as I can remember I’m feeling good about my skin and want to experiment with makeup. I’ve heard primer makes your skin look better and your makeup will last much longer. I have oily skin so having makeup look good for more than a couple of hours has always been a challenge. However, I’m concerned using primer will clog my pores and make my skin suffer from breakouts. I’ve only been using mineral powder and a bit of blush on my skin. Should I start using primer?

Hi there, i actually have mild to medium acne prone skin which is extremely oily at times. Have always wanted to use a foundation as i have never used it but i’m unsure what type of foundation is best for my skin. Want something would not irritate the acne to much and doesn’t look almost like it’s been caked onto my skin. Any help would be great?
Many thanks

I used to have acne but it went away from using Proactiv. I like the products but they’re a little expensive, so I want to try other products. I’m wondering what would be a good toner for oily, but sensitive skin? And also a moisterizer for oily skin?

okay, so im trying to find a good LIQUID drugstore foundation that doesnt clog your pores and can cover up acne. I break out occasionally and i have a bit of acne on my face right now. I also have pretty oily skin and im using mineral foundation right now, but it doesnt cover very well.
any suggestions?

I started the system a week ago and I am using the Antibacterial face bar soap, Clarifying lotion 3, the dramatically different moisturinzing gel and the acne solutions night treament gel. I have oily skin and I am 26 years old. I have a mild case of “adult acne” and am I still having break outs. If you have used it, I would like to hear your experience.

My skin is driving me crazy. I had very, very minimal acne as a teen, I am now in my 30’s (this started around 23) and my skin is extremly oily, and because of this it gets many large embarassing bumps. I wash my face twice a day with neutragena oil free face wash. I feel like I am only doing it for my health because it does nothing for me. I have tried everything over the counter, as well as dermalogica, and proactive. I do not have health insurance and cannot afford the enormous derm. visit. This is seriously upsetting me because it feels like no matter what i do I can not get this to go away. I feel like this is all people see when they look at me. I also feel like it makes me look like I dont take care of myself because my skin is always so oily, this is embarrassing. What can I do differently? If anyone has a solution I would be greatful.
Please no jabs, as this really is difficult to ask about.

I have acne scars on my face. They aren’t too bad but I still don’t want them on my face. I have acne prone skin so will the home kit microdermabrasion make acne worse?

Best Mineral Foundation For Acne Prone Skin?

i’m a teen and i’ve been thinking about wearing foundation. i have acne prone skin and i want sumthing that won’t irritate it or anything. i want something i can find at Walgreen’s or sumthing. please leave sum suggestions and helpful hints thanks!

I am currently using proactiv’s 3 step program and it is beginning to make my face peel slightly. The repairing lotion that came with it is not doing the trick, is there any fair priced product that I can buy at a local store that won’t clog my pores and cause a break out?
Also, I have acne scarred skin and was going to try preferON on some of them. I tried using cocoa butter, but that caused me to break out.

I have never really had alot of problems with acne growing up… I usually only broke out a little when that time of the month would come around. I am now 28 and I have more problems with acne now than I ever did. I don’t know why but I think alot of it has to do with stress. Can anyone give me any advice on products to use and maybe tell me why now all of a sudden I have problems with acne
Thanks in advance :)

I want to know which everyday minerals formula is best for my skin. They have matte, semi matte, intensive, and original glo. Has anyone tried any of their formulas that have acne prone and combination skin? Which one is the best?

I want my skin to clear up before high school starts in two weeks. I have mild acne, and my skin is gets really oily. Right now, I’m using the new neutogena pink grapefruit cleanser, the nuetrogena acne stress control toner, and a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment.

Also, I have oily skin most of the time. I do use proactive solution, but it doesn’t work that well with my skin anymore. Also, when I was a teen I took acutane for three months and it only got rid of my most severe cystic acne, but I sill have overall breakouts all the time, and I just turned 26. So if you know of a really great product that works, please let me know. Especially the nonprescription methods.

I want a powder that feels light and looks natural. Also one that is good for your skin. That doesn’t clog pores and cause acne.

I have sensitive/oily/ acne prone skin. Recently Ive been breaking out more than usual, I think it might be from either my change of diet which is I don’t eat meat or chicken, only fish/seafood and also I stop using birth control pills. I definitely think that my skin problem might have do with either or both things. I been using all natural facial products containing tea tree oil and witch hazel. I want to start taking supplements that will also help clear my breakouts. Any suggestions from experience.
Thanks in advance!
