What is Acne?

Acne is the term for pimples and complexion problems which occur in young people and some adults. Pimples usually occur on the face, but may involve the neck, chest, back and upper arms. Acne is only a skin problem and does not affect your general health.

I see some students with acne, even all over their face. I don’t want to offend them, but I just can’t stand to look at a person with gross acne.
What’s a more polite and safer way to let people know they need to get rid of their acne? In what way would I tell them without having them misinterpret my offer / take my offer as offensive?

and if HE fought like this

i have bad acne scars on my back that make me really self conscious…so i have to wear a jacket over a tanktop all the time…cause im afraid people will think its gross….im only 14 and im supposed to get the scars removed in like 6 months or something but i really wanna know if you saw someone walking down the street in a tanktop with acne scars what would you think?

I have acne on my cheek and a little on my chin and I wanna cover it up, but I need a good foundation and concealer to do it! Any ideas? I tried getting almay smart shade, it works good but so little coverage! Can someone recommend something good?
I also have dark circles, whats good for that?

I’ve heard of this a lot. And I want to know if it is true….Someone know the real answer? Thanks.

Have You Ever Seen Starving People With Acne?

I’ve never paid attention to this before but whenever I would do a school project on the people starving in Africa I never noticed on pictures that any of the kids, teens or adults had skin problems.
So does diet actually matter???
and are dermitalogist hiding the truth because acne is one of the most money making conditions?
( I DON’T have acne btw)

How Do Japanese People React To Acne???

Hi,
I’m going to Japan in three weeks as an exchange student to spend a year in Japan. I have pretty severe acne all over my face and so I’m wondering how will I be treated in Japan because of this fact?
I’m wondering if I will fit in, and how I will be treated by everyone? I have just turned 16 and will be attending school the whole time I am there, so I don’t know how the teens there will be like with me?
If anyone knows, Thanks.
Ethan

I just have some acne on my forehead and I just want to get rid of it, or at least reduce it and prevent new ones from forming because I’m starting high school in late August. I can’t use anything with benzoyl peroxide because even if I just use a little bit, my skin gets red and irritated. What is the best acne treatment for people like me?

Is Society Sensitive Enough To People With Acne?

I had terrible acne all throughout high school–so badly in fact that I was put on Accutane twice. I found it to be one of the most emotionally debilitating times of my life. My question is this–do you think society understands how much acne can affect a person psychologically and emotionally? I’ve noticed that people tend to categorize it as something that teens go through and it’s just a natural part of life without acknowledging the damaging effects it can have on a person’s psyche. Thoughts?

I don’t have acne, I just get small bumps and whiteheads. So what daily face wash can I use that won’t make me start to get acne?

I’m allergic to most of the acne medications, so I’m looking for one that’s just used for cleansing.
10 points.

What Did People Do For Acne Before Modern Times?

My first question: how long has acne been around for? Was it a problem for teens back in the dark ages like it is for teens today? And what did people do for treatment? I’m thinking from all of the powder they put on their acne must have been worse. And what did people do around the early 1900′s to about the 60′s.

I’m a teen and I’ve heard that an unhealthy diet is a cause of acne. But I have noticed alot of people in school who eat junk food everyday and they never get any acne. I try to eat very healthy and I drink alot of water but I still always get really bad acne.
