Should I try to meet other teens on the internet and tell them I am ugly before they come meet me so they won’t be surprised? I want a BF so bad bc I am starting high school and I dont want to be an ugly loser anymore.

Is Accutane Only Delaying My Acne?

I am now an 18 year old male. I first took accutane about a year ago for about 6 months when I had acne ranging from mild to medium-severe, and it had fantastic results. After i stopped taking it acne was not even an issue anymore. Then after about 5 months the acne slowly but surely started coming back. Now I am on it again and it is woking but taking a little longer than the quick results the first time. I was and am now taking 1 pill a day (40) mg i believe.
My questions are:
1. Is me taking accutane ruining my bodies natural way of dealing with acne? My brother had some mild acne issues in his teen years but his body naturally took care of it. Should I just wait out the embarrasing acne rather than taking accutane. Can accutane actually delay the acne stage for later years?
2. Are my symptoms/accutane history average for accutane users, and what can I expect for results?
3. Will accutane ever permanently rid my face of acne?
Thank you for your time reading my question.

I have been on accutane for almost exactly 4 months and I am planning to continue for 5 to 6 months. I am becoming increasingly concerned with why my back is refusing to clear. Please inform me with any ideas, thoughts, or theory’s. Thanks.

Skin Problem: Rash-like Symptom On Forehead Only.?

I am 24 years old, and for the last 18 months I have been having a frequent reoccurring rash-like problem on my forehead. I thought it was due to old makeup, so I ditched what I was using and bought something new.. but putting anything on my forehead made it worse, so I stopped using foundation and/or cover-up on my forehead, except when the redness was so terrible, I had to cover it up. I have been through numerous facial moisturizers, cleansers, etc.. nothing is working. The only “temporary” (and I use the term loosely) solution I have come up with seems to be a spritz of rosemary/grape seed water and a thin layer of clean & clear oil-free moisturizer. It’ll go away for the day, or just a few hours, but always comes back.
The rash looks like an acne breakout, but I find it hard to believe because I have had wonderful clean, clear, smooth skin all my life. Even in high school I had a rare occurrences of zits. The bumps are tiny, with pin/pore-sized white heads that never form into pimples and are easily broken by a gentle facial exfoliating brush. This problem even spreads down my temples a bit, and when I do not gently exfoliate my forehead daily (which causes flare ups, too..yippee), the area becomes very flaky and peels. I have only seen one forum post somewhere that sounds similar and it was somehow connected to a dandruff problem spreading to the forehead (and I’ve had dandruff all of my life).
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. And please, no immature posts or posts from anyone who has little knowledge of this and simply tells me to use Proactive or Clearasil because they are pimples. I have used those types of products, even Rosacea-friendly cleansers (because my mother has Rosacea and I know it’s a possibility I may have that), to see if they would help and they have not. In fact, the alcohol in things like Proactive would only irritate my skin more as I tried using alcohol-related skin products and it only causes me to get overly dry and very irritated.
Thanks to all who respond.
Oh and no, I have not seem a doctor or dermatologist yet simply because I do not have health insurance and am very low on the green stuff.. :(

I need answers because im scared. I had a breakout for acne 3 months ago and its all gone but now i think i have rosacea. I say this because im red in the areas of rosacea and i need to know what i can do instead of going to doctors. I never had this before and is it becuase of the weather change? its becomming spring im faintly and mild rosacea. Im not certain but i looked it up in googles and it seems like i have it. ITs not SEVERE and i would like to know what kind of products i can use? WIll it heal?

I have an extremely healthy diet and I drink a lot of water. I don’t use soap or fragrant products because my face is SUPER sensitive. My skin is redder a day after eating cheese or drinking coffee. I also developed a rash-like appearance when taking omega 3 supplements. I’ve tried probiotics and eating kale, and both caused red rash-like symptoms. I don’t get it! I think it’s a mixture of acne, rosacea, and seb derm. It seems like the redness will never go away. The odd part is, the redness/bumpiness issue is only on my face (mainly cheeks, forehead) and nowhere else on my body. I have very pale skin, and thus, it’s very annoying and bothersome. It feels like my skin is raised and irritated. Is there anyone that has had this problem and can give any advice for getting rid of the redness? It’s not really capillaries, just redness with some acne bumps. About four months ago, I gave up using cetaphil. I can’t use any commercial products on my face because my skin is too sensitive. Products I’ve tried with no success: aquaphor, jojoba oil, castor oil, proactive, erythromycin, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, apple cider vinegar (internal & external), egg yolk, green tea, black tea, cerave, cetaphil, various moisturizers, vaseline, olive oil, clindamycin. Some of these products weren’t as irritating as others, but none of them really helped with the redness. I took bc pills for 6 months (one time) and my face cleared up dramatically…yet that’s not an option for long-term. I’m running out of options here. Is there something missing from my diet? I take a multivitamin and calcium pills daily. Help please, if possible.

I have a doctor appointment on Thursday, and for the past few months, I have been almost sure I can add Rosacea to the list of conditions I already have.
It fits the description well — red skin on the face. However, it only appears on the cheek. On diagrams I looked up on the Internet, it seems that it appears on the forehead and chin as well. But for me, it’s only the cheeks.
Also some more information: it’s not the acne kind of Rosacea, just plain red skin, if that helps at all. I am also a 16 year old male.
So if it’s only on the cheeks, can it possibly be Rosacea? Or does some other condition fit this description well? Thanks.
