I see some students with acne, even all over their face. I don’t want to offend them, but I just can’t stand to look at a person with gross acne.

Here’s a quick breakdown.
During sleep I develop a greasey skin problem, after washing and showering my face becomes dry and can have bits of dry skin on forhead and chin (especially if i rub) i keep getting not-bad-acne but more spots than any normal teen should be having let alone a 20 year old.. what shall i do?

If I get ance anywhere else, it heals pretty fast and does not leave a scar usually. But I have a lot of acne on my back, which I have been struggling with since puberty (I’m 23 now)! But why is my back more prone to acne??? I just don’t get it. The only thing that I have heard is that your back does not get exposed to as much air, the pores get clogged more. The scars are really bad. I have used Neutrogena Body Wash, which helps with the acne. I also use Cocoa butter for the scars and ever another cream made especially for ance scars. It helps, but not much. I know I need something much more heavy duty. Is there anything that my doctor or a dermatologist can prescribe me with to help the scars on my back??? ON 21 days of 10 mg accutane, now my derm told me to take the accutane every other day which makes my dose now 5mg per day.still no improvement,if anything, ithink accutane made my face peel off gradually and now the skin under is paler than my neck so i look weird especialy with foundation and concealer on (Which i hv to put on each day to hide my marks and acne).Now the top part of my lip is starting to peel off which normally is very smooth and no problemsthere.acne scars and marks more noticeable,if anything.still a lot of acne that has not healed. other than that, nothing has changed since taking accutane.am i impatient or not taking enough dosage?thankfully my next derm appointment is next week.i’m 15,all this is probably teen acne but i still want to have clear skin..pray for me so this stage will be over soon..i hate waking up everymorning having to put concealer on when i usually wear nil make up to school..i’m also thinking about switching derms after this,my derm is very famous in my city but maybe he’s just not right for me?

I want to lessen the aprearance and occurance of the blemishes. I can even see them through my foundation. I pick at my skin and am trying to stop. I’ve tried every facial clenser I can think of. And the stronger ones geared to teens for oily super acne prone skin seem like they dry me out too much.

i had acne during my teen years…i am now 22 and thank God in heaven I have been healed, although i still have some very light scars.
but it really is devastating for many people.
i am now a social work major, and have been concerned about this matter from both personal experience and from a counseling/researcher’s view.
yes, cancers can destroy life, but acne can destroy quality of life….and for those of you who have suffered…..you know even the newest treatments often fail.
i just think more attention should be given to this.

I had a relative who had acne when she was a teenager but her complexion cleared up when she got older. Still, she always looked quite young for her age and we attributed that to having oily skin which probably caused the acne to occur in the first place.

Does anyone else in their mid twenties have more acne now than they did when they were a teenager. I do and it really bothers me because I cant find any face wash or acne cream that helps. Any ideas about something that might help?
