I use a medication with Benzoyl Peroxide for my acne. It has bleached out my pillow cases and some of my t shirts. I’m going to stop using it because I’m getting new sheets. Does the medication have a half life should I be worried about it bleaching my new sheets if I haven’t used it for a day?

How Do I Get Rid Of Marks Left Behind From Acne?

I used to pick my acne and marks were left on my face.
I don’t have any acne but I do have the marks from when I picked on it. Not a whole lot but i still want to know how to get rid of it.

These are from my teen days. I still have have an acne problem at 24 but it’s way much less than back then. How much would that (dermabrasion) cost? Any side effects?

The reason why I am asking is because I had the IUD put in 6 weeks ago and I am going in for my follow-up visit this afternoon. After natural childbirth, insertion was very bearable, bled for a couple weeks and didn’t start again until a few days ago but have been having horrible cramps for the past week. Two days following the insertion I started having constant lower back pain. Over the course of two weeks I developed horrible migraines, acne, rosacea (which I never had before), hot flashes, extreme fatigue, breast tenderness and quiet frankly I’ve become very moody and even have noticed that I tremble like I have eaten. I had blood work done before the IUD insertion and am in tip top shape, so I know that the Mirena is the cause of all this as these are all possible side effects, but what I want to know is do these side effects eventually go away or only get worse? Please tell me your experiences with Mirena. I paid a $1000 for the thing because my insurance doesn’t cover birth control, but I feel Absolutely miserable and look it too. I am willing to stick it out a while longer if the symptoms go away, but if they don’t go away I don’t see the point in staying miserable. If you had Mirena removed, is there a birth control pill you liked that was effective as well as didn’t give you that many side effects? I am not looking for anything like Nuvaring, Implanon or Depo either. Thanks in advance

My teen-aged daughter (a Crohn’s patient) seems to have red, blotchy patches on her checks and jaw. Within these patches are almost-invisible tiny bumps, that never quite go away. Her dermatologist has ruled out acne and seborrhea and doesn’t believe the condition to be eczema or psoriasis. I have seen references to IBD patients with rosacea, but have read that some of the treatments can bring on Crohn’s “flares”. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

How Can I Prevent Rosacea From Getting Worse?

I’m going to see a dermatologist about this next week, but wanted to check beforehand if anyone could suggest therapies to ask her about. I am 24, and have been noticing rosacea slightly coming in for the last 2 years or so. It runs in my family, so I immediately knew what it was and have adapted my skin care to avoid exacerbating it (by using Bare Minerals makeup, Cetaphil face wash, Retin-A to control acne, etc). Everything has been all & well until about a month ago, when I ran out of Retin-A and had a huge flareup which hasn’t gone away and also effects my eyes. This has been really disappointing and upsetting for me because I was so sure that I had my symptoms under control, but apparently not. Of course I will ask the doctor for a new Retin-A prescription, but I am interested in a more long term solution.
Anyway, the redness and flushing on my cheeks is noticeable but not really bad (its more pink than red), but is there any kind of treatment which is able to treat these mild symptoms or prevent them from worsening? I have been doing a lot of internet research and I’m really interested in lasers but worried that they are more commonly used to repair serious damage, not prevention.
Does anyone have advice on therapies which have worked to keep rosacea at bay? Or insight into laser treatment for mild redness? I’m worried that even if I do try the laser, it won’t be cost effective because my problems aren’t that bad (yet).
Thank you!

I have scars on my face from when I was 12. I had bad acne, and I would pick at it all the time! My acne’s gone and I would have a smooth looking face but I still have a bunch of scars on my forehead! That’s my I don’t wear my hair back and out of my face. Please help! How do I get rid of it?

How Do I Remove Acne Spots From My Back?

I recently had back acne but these black spots are all over my back.
Is there anything that can help me remove these spots?

My face is like sooo white and my acne and scars are soo red. Anybody know how to get rid of the redness?

I have many acne scars and previous scars from an alergy reaction to medications. These scars are darkish brown and require me to put so much make up to cover them. They are not a pretty site when I don’t have make up covering them up.I am wondering if a sunburn and peeling would help improve them to lighten up along with special creams to lighten them up to clearing them up completely. These are only surface scars that are discolorations to the skin. I need help to find out the best thing to do to rid them once and for all.

also no lil bumps anywere so dont think i have rosacea. also tried mild face wash like aveeno and also made my face red there. proactiv only wash that stops my acne but makes face red what to do???

I am an Esthetician, so my reccomendation to you is to get back facials. It will clear your pores. They will put a really good treatment on your skin, and do some much needed extractions. You might have to change your shampoo. It may be clogging your pores on your back. Also, try getting an exfoliating scrub that you can use on your back 2-3 times a week. Dermalogica has some great products for acne. Check out their website.

I’ve had oral antibiotics, topicals, even take luke warm showers so as not to irritate, but am at a loss as to what to do next. The thing is that I have been to several dermatoligists appointments and followed the regimen but it always comes back, usually worse, so I am a little put off by having to go back to the dermatoligists again since I do not have insurance for this. Also I noticed that tanning actually seems to help but every doctor or website I visit tells me the opposite. My rosacea is coupled with outbreaks of acne like symptoms.
