I no longer have an acne problem, thankfully, but i have little indentations in my face from the horrible years i did have it. i want them gone. microdermabrasion is helpful but not enough. What else? Would laser resurfacing work and if so, what if the average cost? Any other ideas?

I never in my life had any bit of acne (not even as a teen) until I became pregnant last April. I started getting some on my back but nothing too serious. HOWEVER, soon as I delivered my baby 16 weeks ago, the acne went ballistic and became so severe. My back is raw, inflamed, and painful. I even have cysts now! I’ve been to the obgyn who said it would clear up in a few weeks (didn’t) and to the dermatologist who shot me up with cortisone (didn’t work) and finally today a regular doctor.
They all give me the same answer, “stop breastfeeding” or “take these medications that could harm your baby through your breastmilk”. There has got to be another way to solve this problem naturally that won’t affect nursing my baby!
There must be other women who have gone through this and didn’t stop breastfeeding because of it. Please help me, any advice is welcome! Im desperate for a solution!

Before I went on Accutane, I had severe acne on my face, chest, and back. My dermatologist had me try many topical creams and pills but nothing ever worked. Accutane completely cleared it up. Now it is mildly returning on my face, chest, and back. I’ve been using Pro-Activ but it hasn’t been doing anything. I’m very scared of my acne becoming severe again. Is there ANYTHING, like an at-home treatment, that is almost guaranteed to work?

my acne scars have gotten very light
and if i keeping doing what im doing im sure they’ll be gone very soon
but i wonder if i really need to wear sunscreen when i go out everytime to prevent them from coming back
i mean it doesnt make much sense because you would think if you get tan than ur whole face will get tan no only ur scars
so how does not wearing sunscreen make them worse?
do i even have to wear it?

I’m a 36 year old female, and I periodically suffer from large, painful pimples on my upper back.
What is strange is that I don’t always have it. I will sometimes go for months without a single one, and then I’ll get one, and then another, and another, until my whole back is broken out.
This has been happening since I was an adolescent, and I have tried for years to determine the cause.
This may sound strange, but I really think that they are related to depression, and un-happiness, because that seems to be the only time I suffer from them.
Any experience or thoughts on this matter?

So I have a couple keloid scars on my chest, shoulders, and jawline from acne as a teen. I really want to get my earlobes pierced but I am afraid that they will keloid. I have had surgery before to have moles and stuff removed on my body but i didn’t keloid where i got them removed. I heard that if you have your ear lobes pierced with a needle its less likely to keloid compared to a gun. Is this true? Also I need some professional advice on what to do. I really really want my ears pieced, i just want a small plug or tapers in my ears, nothing too crazy. Has anyone been in my shoes yet and gotten a peircing? I need advice on what to do and if its wise to take the risk.

I have to wax basically most of my face once a week, even the most sensitive areas. I put vitamin E on afterwards and after maybe 5 hours it goes away. It’s also dry skin and I get a lot of acne. I am a teen who has minor acne and seriboic dermitidis. recently i was in a non life threatening accident and i have a gash in my leg. it was treated but still got infected, and i have to change the bandages every 2 hours because blood and pus soak threw.

2 years ago, I got minor out of control back acne that has finally cleared up to a manageable few tiny pimples a few months ago. I am very happy but the only problem is that the minor breakout left many many scars across my back.
