im a teen and i have mild acne. i had Proactiv for about 2/3 years. i only used it whenever i had an outbreak and i rarely had any acne back then so i didnt really use it alot, so about 4 months ago i switched to using the Acne Free 3 step little treatment, its just like proactiv but cheaper, and ive been using that for 3 months day and night and ive also been using Clearasil Stayclear Oil Free Daily Face Wash everyday and night. it isnt doing anything for me. ive been hoping that it would work after i used it for a while but im throwing in the towel. my friend had real severe acne and he went to his dermatologist and they put him on a treatment program called Active or Activa or Acutain or something like that and it worked great, his face is clear. i dont have a dermatologist bc i didnt think my acne was that bad, but now that its getting worse, i need it, but id like to see if anyone just had a ball park estimate of how much that treatment program costs?
so basically, i want to know how much that treatment costs (Active or Activa, or Acutane i cant remember)?
and also i just want to know people’s opinions on what i should do about it, like what products i should use?

I have an oily complex skin, I exfoliate daily and moisturise, drink about 6 glasses of water a day, and eat my 5 a day. I dont drink mid week as a rule and dont smoke. I never really had really bad acne or whatever as a young teen; just reciently however over the last year or two (I’m 19 now) my skin quality went down hill. No massive scarring or enflamed areas just one too many zits and some minor marks developing over time. However over freshers week at uni even though I drank far to much (really a disgusting amount) my skin quality dramatically improved. Now I dont want to risk my skin if this was a one off fluke but it does help explain why guys who never look twice and drink loads seem to have perfect complextions. I dont intend to go out every night if it turns out it does have a positive effect, its more a question thats been bugging me for the past few days.
P.S. I do appreciate that binge drinking is reguarly reported as being a negative effect on skin quality.

I was wondering how long it takes for pit acne scars to form after the original acne is gone. Is it right away or does it take a significant period of time?

I have a large acne cyst on my nose and I can tell it will just be there for many weeks.
So, generally for a person without health insurance, how much does it cost to go to the dermatologist for an acne cyst removal?

I’ve been on Marvelon-28 for almost 2 months now. I was prescribed it to clear up my acne and to regulate my periods, but I’m almost done my 2nd packet and I haven’t noticed a single improvement in my skin yet! My doctor was convinced this would work.
I’ve read around, and people say it takes “a few months”, but it’s been almost 2 months for me and there has been no improvement. So, for those who take/took the pill to clear up acne, how long before it cleared up your skin?

In your experience how long did it take to show results if your using it twice a day.
I have noticed my face is so soft, but will i notice less acne?
(Im using the original one not the grapefruit one)

I have all the problems of an awkward teen. I have acne, I haven’t lost my puppy fat yet, I’m short, braces, a ton of wild hair, and I’m just all around ugly. I do play some sports, so that helps in making me a bit comfortable. But I still feel pretty down whenever I look in the mirror.

I Just got some benzoyl peroxide gel today from my personal doctor. I know its not going to clean up my acne(mild) over night. I would like to know how long it usually takes and, or how well it works.

i know you get it throughout your life but is it always as bad as it was when you are a teenager? i am a teen now and i really am hoping that it will calm down!
i want to stop sneaking up at me every waking momment it is driving me nuts and i feel like therei s no cure!
so what age does it start to calm down…? i was thinking maybe 16 i dunno

I don’t have severe acne scars, just some around my mouth that are extremely annoying.
My sister used bio oil and it did WONDERS to her skin, so i’m getting some too.
But to anyone that has used it for acne scars – how long did it take to get your face back to looking normal?

like my acne is mild but i have like only 2 big pimples but the rest are rather mild and my face gets rather oily during the day(if you have any tips for this id be grateful as well),(im a teen btw) and please dont tell me to use moisturizer with spf in them. thanks
