So my prom is at the end of June, and i want to minimize my acne and blackheads.
Is there anything I can do for cheap at home?

My girlfriend is 27 years old and has never had a skin condition. She really never had any zits. All of a sudden during a stressful time in her life last summer, her face broke out with little pimples all over her face. She complained that it itched and burned. She is a nurse and an OB Dr. gave her some topical steriod cream. It instantly went away. Now, we are living together and her face has broke out really bad and she says it hurts really bad. I did not know this, but she told me that she kept using the steriod cream until now because it quit working. She went to a dermitologist and he didn’t really look at it, listen to her, or anything. He said that it is acne, and that she is having a reaction to the steriod cream. I don’t believe him because she had the same symptoms before she used it except it is now worse. Do any of you have any ideas? I looked at Rosacea on Web MD but she does not have visable blood vessels, just little pimples. She’s depressed bad.

Ok here is a picture of someone I know that has a very difficult skin problem on the face that has persisted over years…
She has gone to a lot of dermatologists and they either don’t know, or say it’s rosacea or a form of acne. But everything they have given her has not worked.
She is currently on Accutane which is a really strong antibiotic. She is on a course of 5 months. She has taken it for 3 months now. It has not gotten better, if not even worse. They are open sores, with pus inside them, they feel like they have liquid in them. They scab over but then pop with the pus trickling out of them. She has them in several places on her face as you can see in the picture. She is devestated with this, and no one knows what this is. Does anyone have this problem, or does anyone know what it can possibly be? Also if anyone has taken accutane, can you tell me what it was for and if it worked?

The redness occurs every night at the same time, no matter what I’m doing. It burns when you touch it, and sometimes it feels like its burning down to my cheek bones.
I was just diagnosed with rosacea by my dermatologist, but she still isn’t sure that I have it (there is no sure way to know).
There aren’t any triggers (like spicy foods, hot drinks, hot showers, etc). Nothing makes it start, and nothing makes it stop. (It’s always gone by the time I wake up though.)
I’m not really sure that I have rosasea, because rosecea has a lot to do with acne, and I don’t have acne, or a lot of the rosacea symptoms.
Any ideas as to why my face is being weird? =|

I’ve never had acne on my back before and lately I’ve been having night sweats as well as acne on my back, back of my neck and behind the ears, could this be caused by my night sweats? Or could it be an allegric reaction to a body wash I’m using?

Could I Have Rosacea? What Could It Be?

I have excessively dry skin that is almost immune to any kind of lotion or cream. I am 13 and have had skin problems for almost four years, I am over acne but I still get blemishes. It is on my face (it’s affected my forehead, cheeks, and has even spread to my upper lip!), arms and hands and back. It’s horrible, I hate it. Please help! Oh, and my mom said that if it goes on for much longer I’ll have to see a dermatologist! That would be so embarrassing! Would you suggest a soap or cream for it if you can?

I have never had much acne, and it has always been very mild, and only a pimple or so at a time.
Having said that, last night, I noticed that the left side of my face started itching like CRAZY. I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror, and it had broken out into a bright red rash and now parts of it burn lightly, and that portion my skin went from smooth to bumpy and rough and really awful feeling..
My mom has rosacea, and I called her this morning to ask if she thought it might be whats on my face, and she doesn’t know.
My question is, can rosacea affect only one side of the face? Are the symptoms I described here typical of the condition? And if not, what could it be?
I’ve googled just about everything I can concerning it, but I can’t find anything that quite gives me a straight answer to my question.
Also, what are some tips and pointers to help soothe my skin until I can get to a dermatologist sometime next week??

I have many acne scars and previous scars from an alergy reaction to medications. These scars are darkish brown and require me to put so much make up to cover them. They are not a pretty site when I don’t have make up covering them up.I am wondering if a sunburn and peeling would help improve them to lighten up along with special creams to lighten them up to clearing them up completely. These are only surface scars that are discolorations to the skin. I need help to find out the best thing to do to rid them once and for all.

Could I Have Rosacea?

I have little bumps on my nose that don’t go away. I’m thinking it’s rosacea or keratosis pilaris (which I have on my cheeks) but I’m not sure. My nose is pretty reddish too, and really oily. I’ve heard about getting acne-like bumps from rosacea, but is it common for teens?

What Could I Do To Get Rid Of My Acne For Good?

I dont have bad acne, but its very troublesome and irritating. I occasionally get cystic acne under my jawline. Ive tried Murad, Proactive, Oxy, Clearasil, Clean&Clear, Accutane, antibiotics, and more. Ive tried home remedies and theyve only made it terribly worse. What product would be recommended? Im 19 years old and have had acne since I was 12 or so, and Ive had enough. Please help me, thank you.

I have a doctor appointment on Thursday, and for the past few months, I have been almost sure I can add Rosacea to the list of conditions I already have.
It fits the description well — red skin on the face. However, it only appears on the cheek. On diagrams I looked up on the Internet, it seems that it appears on the forehead and chin as well. But for me, it’s only the cheeks.
Also some more information: it’s not the acne kind of Rosacea, just plain red skin, if that helps at all. I am also a 16 year old male.
So if it’s only on the cheeks, can it possibly be Rosacea? Or does some other condition fit this description well? Thanks.

I was holidaying in Vietnam; doing trekking tours and it was really muggy weather. I got back from the holiday and all of this rash and acne like pimples have developed on my back. I have always had the odd pimple here and there, but never to this extent. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? Would it be a sweat rash with an infection? Looking fwd to your feedback.
