I’ve been on Marvelon-28 for almost 2 months now. I was prescribed it to clear up my acne and to regulate my periods, but I’m almost done my 2nd packet and I haven’t noticed a single improvement in my skin yet! My doctor was convinced this would work.
I’ve read around, and people say it takes “a few months”, but it’s been almost 2 months for me and there has been no improvement. So, for those who take/took the pill to clear up acne, how long before it cleared up your skin?

Can you please tell me your personal experiences on specific brands? I have been on Aviane for a few years but for some reason all of a sudden I am getting acne. I want to switch brands, but am afraid of weight gain (which I have not experienced on Aviane).

How do you use the clean and clear advantage acne control kit? Like do you use it all at once. Or do you put on Acne Clearing Astringent than wash your face than put on Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer than wash your face again and put on the Acne Spot Treatment? I have no idea im really confused. If you use it threw the day do you wash your face after you put it on or keep it on for rest of the day?

ive been on the pill for more then two years i think. i used it to clear out my skin and then kept using it when i started having sex.
i cant remember when it started but ive got these patches of red on my face. a bit on my cheeks. and just above my upper lip
(which is so ******* annoying cos it looks like i have a moustache or sumthin lol)
and a bit on my forehead.
do you think it is birth control, or rosacea? i never used to have it before BC.
but then once my aunite stuck fricken raw garlic on my face (cause she said it got rid of acne) and my skin is really sensitive and im not sure if this is what caused such redness.
BLAH! i just dont know what caused my skin to change colour, if it is BC i would get off it, or switch.

I’ve been on ortho tricyclen since I was 18 and now I am 25 so its been about 7 years and I am thinking about stopping the pill soon. My first question is…does being on the pill for a long period of time have a negative effect on fertility? Someone recently told me that it could cause infertilty and that has me worried!
My second question is…does stopping the pill cause acne and if so is it permanent or only til your body gets used to the hormones and such? I had mild acne as a teen and once I started the ortho tricyclen my skin cleared up and remained good til this day. So I have no idea if my skin is clear now because I outgrew the teen acne or because of the pill. If I stop taking the pill will my acne flare up and if so for how long usually?

I have rosacea and pretty much everything that my dermatologist gives me makes it worse or makes my face oily or flaky.. i was gonna go on birth control anyways though for both my acne and my period but im hoping it will make my rosacea better.. do you think it will?

I have really bad acne on the back of my legs from running. I don’t have acne otherwise, and I don’t stay in sweaty clothes any longer than I have to after my runs. Is there anything I can do besides scrubbing the s*hit out of them every day?
