I started taking the birth control pill Loestrin because I didn’t want to gain weight and its side effects were supposedly very slight. I haven’t gained weight, but it has wrecked my skin! I have never had trouble with acne, not even in my teen years, but I do now (and I am 27). I don’t want to stop taking Loestrin- what else can I do about this?

I’m suffering pretty much from a type of acne that pops up on the head – they call it ‘acne vulgaris’ and it’s repeatedly been comin’ out on two different spots on my skull. The dermatologist I visited prescribed a minor surgery some weeks back to remove the swelling… he said the surgery would get rid of the problem for once and for all. This surgery did take place as was prescribed, but only a month or so after, the swelling has now reappeared again and is really giving me such a hard time. This thing is really painful as it begins swelling, but the pain kinda eases after a while … whereas the bump remains there for a long time.
Any helpful advice PLEASE… especially if there’s anybody dealing with this same problem? What, do you think, is the cause of this?

I’m a girl… but I have rosacea on my cheeks and a little acne- I love my makeup becuase it can make me look flawless. I think it’s so sad that guys can’t (well, they could- but probably wouldn’t be accepted socially if they did) wear makeup. They just have to go with what they’ve got… not mascara, no foundation- nothing! But maybe they don’t care. I don’t know… I just kind of think it’s sad. Guys and girls answer- what are your thoughts?

My acnes not too bad but i do have alot of little bumps on my face that don’t seem to have anything in them, does anyone know how i can get rid of them. I also get acne on my back and cant seem to get rid of it, Any help?

I have tried proactiv and pretty much everything you can buy over the counter at walmart and other drugstores. I don’t really have severe acne I just have breakouts pretty often and its really irritating! help!
