i was wondering to try procactiv my friends said it worked for her.
i know it does not work for everyone but when you use proactive for about 2 months does the acne come back once you stop using it ?
It is still lasting until now that is 4 months already. During this time, I still take vgetarian food (not meat). In the past, I sometimes had acnes but never pimple on forehead, chest, back. Now, not only acne but also pimple on those places. Someone said that my toxins are going out. But, I am worried how long this thing will be last. Do we have any treatment for it? Thanks.
I have an oily complex skin, I exfoliate daily and moisturise, drink about 6 glasses of water a day, and eat my 5 a day. I dont drink mid week as a rule and dont smoke. I never really had really bad acne or whatever as a young teen; just reciently however over the last year or two (I’m 19 now) my skin quality went down hill. No massive scarring or enflamed areas just one too many zits and some minor marks developing over time. However over freshers week at uni even though I drank far to much (really a disgusting amount) my skin quality dramatically improved. Now I dont want to risk my skin if this was a one off fluke but it does help explain why guys who never look twice and drink loads seem to have perfect complextions. I dont intend to go out every night if it turns out it does have a positive effect, its more a question thats been bugging me for the past few days.
P.S. I do appreciate that binge drinking is reguarly reported as being a negative effect on skin quality.
I’m 15 years old and I have acne vulgaris – the most common type of acne, particularly for teens. I’d say my acne is moderate but I do get once-in-a-while massive pimples. I’m about to order ProActiv but I have a few questions. I’d like to get the opinion of the general public who have experienced ProActiv and acne.etc.
My questions are:
1) I’ve heard ProActiv really works, but is it true that it gets worst before it gets better?
2) How long does it usually take to clear your skin?
3) Apparently when you get older, say, in a couple of years when I reach 18 years of age, my face would stop breaking out. Well, for most people, this is the case. If ProActiv really works, how do I know whether it is ProActiv keeping me off acne or my body/hormones have regulated?
4) If it is fortunate enough to be my body, is there a facewash that will help to maintain clear skin?
5) Does the ProActiv moisturiser and Oil Control help to prevent acne without the actual 3-step bottles?
Thanks in advance.
It feels like an open wound or something, it stings a little, mostly feels like someone dragged my face across the carpet. lol.
I thought it was my cleanser, so i bought many different kind of cleansing. Exfoliating, ph 5.5, dermatologist tested. loreal, neutrogena. all of them. I don’t think its the cleanser’s fault. I can’t just stop washing my face.. don’t think I haven’t thought of it, i have.
Thanks to these burning cheeks (its might be rosacea, not sure) I don’t wear much make up. the skins my face is not very even, there are some acne scars, heads. but its been years, shouldn’t it be getting clearer now?
Am i going to live with this for the rest of my life?
as for going to the dermatologist.. well, lets just say my financial state does not allow me such benefits. I’m 22 year old student, later in life, when i do have job, dermatologist is on.
Hope my question made sense but my face is dry and pealing now, the pimples have dried up but now it’s just patches of dry skin, what do I do for it now? What home remedies can I do for when I have break outs? I’ve tried everything and nothing works, I don’t have the money right now to go back to my dermatologist I went to when I was a teen..any suggestions?
This past weekend I went wood cutting. It was in the low 90s and humid. When I got home I realized how much my face and neck was itching.
I decided to take a shower thinking all the sawdust was irritating my skin.
The next morning when I woke up my whole face and neck has what looks like razor burn or acne. I have never had acne before. When I was a teen I would get the occasional zit but not this.
It is getting a little better but it still itches. I but some cortizone on it lastnight and it has helped a little.
What is this rash and what all can I do to get rid of it or at least stop the itching?
