What is Acne?

Acne is the term for pimples and complexion problems which occur in young people and some adults. Pimples usually occur on the face, but may involve the neck, chest, back and upper arms. Acne is only a skin problem and does not affect your general health.

What is the usual antibiotic and dosage used in treating acne? I have a little bit of acne on my chin (no where else) that won’t seem to clear up no matter what I do. I need to try an antibiotic and see if that takes care of an ongoing infection. What is the typical antibiotic used to treat acne? And what dosage for adults?

and if HE fought like this

it says that its an adult acne remedy but can teens use it also? would it damage my skin?

I’m a 36 year old female, and I periodically suffer from large, painful pimples on my upper back.
What is strange is that I don’t always have it. I will sometimes go for months without a single one, and then I’ll get one, and then another, and another, until my whole back is broken out.
This has been happening since I was an adolescent, and I have tried for years to determine the cause.
This may sound strange, but I really think that they are related to depression, and un-happiness, because that seems to be the only time I suffer from them.
Any experience or thoughts on this matter?
Thank you.

The main reason is hormones because by the time you reach adulthood your hormones start to balance out. Also, many teens just do not know how to take care of their skin which only adds to the problem.

I’m concerned about my acne. I’m thirteen and I’ve had it for about three years now. There’s a lot of blackheads about probably about 10-15 zits on my face at a time if I’m having a breakout. I HATE my acne and I’m concerned I’m going to have to wear a lot of makeup next year in high school.
Will my acne EVER stop? My sister is almost twenty and she still has lots of acne. Hers is worse than mine though.
I am using a mild gel prescribed by my doctor called Stievamycin. It claims to clear out acne and prevent breakouts.
Here is a photo displaying my acne:http://i39.tinypic.com/15fszly.jpg

I’ve heard of this a lot. And I want to know if it is true….Someone know the real answer? Thanks.
