Ingredients to Avoid for ACNE

Hey Guys, I want to share with you some knowledge that I have about ingredients that are harmful to us and our struggles to get clear skin. It’s really easy to get sold on a new line for acne prone skin or a cleanser or moisturizer that someone on a blog or youtube is raving about. But before you go out and spend another 50 or even 100 dollars on a skin care kit. Stop. Relax. Breathe. Step away from the computer. Come back to it and like a scientist analyze what’s in the product and why it might help you or not. Stay tuned for a video on what I use on my skin. AND SUBSCRIBE TO ME. lol. I’m new on youtube, have no idea how to tag or whatever, and I might get lost in the millions of video’s if you don’t favorite me. :) hehe HUGS, Magdalena

This is an informational video all about acne vulgaris. The video had to be split into two parts due to length! I hope you find all of the information helpful. I discuss What acne is, Causes of Acne, Treatments of Acne, and Ways of Preventing Acne! Thanks so much for checking out my video. I encourage you to subscribe if you havent yet! I am 16 years old and i have suffered from acne my entire teen life. I have an abundant amount of scarring on my back because of acne. I havent had any surgery or any broken bones. I could pass everything else but the scar part…will i be ok???

Acne — Still Breaking Out — Accutane?

It’s been about 5 months you could say. I don’t really keep track, I find it easier just to take the pills and wait for the day when my acne’s gone. Ha-ha. <- That was a fake laugh because I'm actually very depressed ATM.
I'm 15 and just started 10th grade. (Male) So yeah, in 8th grade my skin got REALLY bad and I went to a dermatologist and went on accutane for 3 months. (Went from 10mg to 20mg)
My skin was perfect so I stopped. I didn't have any negative side effects with the exceptions of MINOR dry lips and occasionally a slightly dry face.
In the beginning of 9th grade CYSTS were coming back hardcore. Supposedly my biological father had really bad acne when he was a teen and it's all over my mom's side. But none of my cousins seem to have it. Ugh……why me?. Fellow classmates would say things like "Omg how'd you get that bruise?" or stupid things like "Dang you broke out!"
I already have depression (NOT from accutane) and being around people just added to it. I couldn't handle it anymore so I switched to online school (which I'm still doing) and isolated myself from the everything. I know I shouldn't do this but you just have to understand………
Anyway, I order my accutane online because I hate going out in public it's humiliating. So yeah, I'm on month 5 (60mg, not counting the 3 months in 7th grade (can I still count those?! would it be 8 months?!?!)
I KNOW it did SOMETHING this time around because I developed really bad backpains (like where my back arches) and a weird-*** rash on the back of my hands and arms, like hives around month 2/3. Also, my lips chapped so bad I was literally pulling the top layers of my lips off and they were bleeding and yeah it was disgusting. And also, around that time, my face dried out it was like a lizard.
It was a completely different experice from the previous 3 months in 8th grade. Anyways, my skin isn't dry anymore nor are my lips but I'm still on accutane (again; month 5 / 60mg (3 twenty mg's a day))
I am STILL breaking out. Not as bad I guess and these pimples are weird. They're not cysts because they don't have any pressure. They don't form whiteheads they're just like bumps of skin. Some are big and some are small. And if I try to pop them, the skin around them just gets REALLY red (even if I be really gentle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and no pus or VERY LITTLE comes outm but usuall nothing, and also they sometimes bruise! I have about a month or two's worth of pills left but my effing face should be clear by now!! Am I waisting my time?
Please…someone help

I am now an 18 year old male. I first took accutane about a year ago for about 6 months when I had acne ranging from mild to medium-severe, and it had fantastic results. After i stopped taking it acne was not even an issue anymore. Then after about 5 months the acne slowly but surely started coming back. Now I am on it again and it is woking but taking a little longer than the quick results the first time. I was and am now taking 1 pill a day (40) mg i believe.
My questions are:
1. Is me taking accutane ruining my bodies natural way of dealing with acne? My brother had some mild acne issues in his teen years but his body naturally took care of it. Should I just wait out the embarrasing acne rather than taking accutane. Can accutane actually delay the acne stage for later years?
2. Are my symptoms/accutane history average for accutane users, and what can I expect for results?
3. Will accutane ever permanently rid my face of acne?
Thank you for your time reading my question.

Accutane Not Really Helping Acne?

I’ve suffered from acne for severals years now. I easily have worse acne than the average teen. I finally started accutane about 3 months ago. It’s suppose to be the last resort thing and strongest fighter against acne on the market but I haven’t really seen a change after 3 months.
At my last check up my doctor said this was the month that things were suppose to start clearing up…that was 2 weeks ago and as of right now I still have a lot of acne on my face, some even fresh that came up last night.
Is there anything I can do? I am so sick of suffering fom acne and being afraid to go into public places because I am ashamed of how I look.

Is Accutane Only Delaying My Acne?

Before I went on Accutane, I had severe acne on my face, chest, and back. My dermatologist had me try many topical creams and pills but nothing ever worked. Accutane completely cleared it up. Now it is mildly returning on my face, chest, and back. I’ve been using Pro-Activ but it hasn’t been doing anything. I’m very scared of my acne becoming severe again. Is there ANYTHING, like an at-home treatment, that is almost guaranteed to work?

Accutane And Mental Health Side Effects?

I am a 39 year old male and have suffered through acne since my teens. I have very oily skin and all the creams and pills have provided only temporay relief. My new dermatologist recommended that I try Accutane. However, my dermatologist warned me about the side effects of this drug to your mental health such as depression, suicidal thoughts, etc. This concerns me because I had a severe depression back in my teens ( I am okay now), and I have a brother who is suffering from a major depression. I also have other immediate family members and extended family members with other mental health issues. So my question then is am I more susceptible to the mental health side effects of Accutane than a person who does not have any immediate or exteneded family members with mental health issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have cystic acne, and my doctor told me that I should definitely try Accutane. The only issue is that my insurance doesn’t cover it and it would cost over $1000 a month. I’ve been using the Murad acne process and that’s been working well for me, but that doesn’t work for the cystic acne under the skin, only the blemishes on the top layer. Are there any other medications or products that have worked on cystic acne that you know of? Thank you times ten in advance.

When Will My Acne On My Back Clear Up When On Accutane?

i started 11 days ago and im only on accutane for 3 months. will i probably see my acne on my back clear up on about a month? and some are scars too, will that also clear up?

Information About Accutane?

I have had a huge problem with acne vulgaris (nodular/cystic) for the past 3 years. I have tried literally everything – over the counter washes, topicals, cremes, etc. I have gone to the doctor and been prescribed oral and topical antibiotics, retin-A, and a few others. I used Proactiv for a year, (never worked) and now I’m on AcneFree Severe System (for a week and a half so far) and I have seen little improvement. My boyfriend’s sister works at a pharmacy and recommended I take Accutane. I’ve heard it can increase your chances of becoming suicidal is depresion runs in your family – and it does in mine. So what I’m asking, what can you all tell me about Accutane? And am I at risk with the depression issue if I go on Accutane?

I have been on accutane for almost exactly 4 months and I am planning to continue for 5 to 6 months. I am becoming increasingly concerned with why my back is refusing to clear. Please inform me with any ideas, thoughts, or theory’s. Thanks.
