Please Help Me.. Acne Problem!..?
hi guys
so im a teen..
i dont exactly have typical acne…
pretty much my whole face is clear
except i get these white heads surrounding my lips/ mouth / chin area,..
its really embarassing.
i try to pop them cause they hurt.. and i get all the white out but then it takes forever for it to create a scab , then it stays there for the longest time!
i know its bad to pop them, but it hurts when theres gross stuff in my face..
i cover them with makeup..
but im looking for something to basically make them stop appearing/make them go away
i figured i would just try Proactiv.. ive heard it makes ppl’s face red.. but apparently it supposed to turn red, then get better? (and im aware not everything works for every1)
i use a face wash now, ive been through many brands and nothing seems to help!
proactiv .. or something else?
this is just getting way too embarassing since its only around my mouth.

First of all. STOP POPPING your white heads.
Second: Stop covering it with make up. That just makes it worse.
If you want to clear up your skin, you need to adopt a daily cleaning routine.
Use a face cloth and warm/hot water and press the cloth against your face. Do this for about a minute. If the face cloth gets cool, soak it up again with warm water.
After washing your face, use a cotton ball and witch hazel.
In the winter, you need to use a less strong acne medication–the drier air in conjunction with acne medicine can sometimes make the acne worse.
Best bet–see a dermatologist. They can prescribe topical solutions suited to your needs, in addition to possible antibiotics. And weird but true, you need a prescription for 0.5% benzoyl peroxide, even though higher amounts can be bought over the counter.
look take it from someone who used to have really bad acne you leave that pancake makeup off for 2 week wash your face 2 times a day and rotate face wash stuff your face will be as good as new in no time

Ooookay. Stop trying to treat the symptom, you need to look at the cause. Yes, the cause is what you eat. Refined foods, fat, dairy, meat, refined sugars, junk foods, deep fried foods… all that stuff. Why didn’t it cause acne before, but only after puberty? Because, your body has changed and you now are reacting differently to the food you eat. I took meat and dairy and other stuff out of my diet, and in a couple weeks, my acne of many years was gone. My friends were amazed and my best friend who also had acne wanted to know what I was using (what cream or whatever, because we had both tried them all, plus tetracycline… every produce on the market, and some home made stuff too). So, acne comes from within you. Change your diet, eat better, more fruits, vegetables, more whole foods, less or no junk foods, refined foods, refined sugars etc. I found that whole sugars such as unrefined cane sugar does not cause acne in me. The acne does come back in one day after eating deep fried foods, or white sugar. Fat is no good, and cooked or hydrogenated oils are just as bad as fat. I found that extra virgin olive oil, or cold pressed oils such as flax, hemp, etc. do not cause acne in me. Seeing my acne disappear so quickly made me look more into eating healthier, and I totally changed my diet and the healthier I ate, the more other positive results I had. I got rid of added colours, preservatives, all that chemical junk… all that stuff you already know is bad for ya somehow, and it really is. Acne is just one of the many problems as a result of diet. Drink lots of water between meals, do lots of exercise to sweat it out, get sunshine (prevents bacteria on skin from multiplying), etc. Do not put oils on your face, that just clogs your skin. You might not see immediate results as I did, but as I said, look at the cause, not the symptom.
