I Have Keloids On My Chest, Shoulders, And Jaw Line From Acne. I Want To Get My Ears Pierced. Should I?
So I have a couple keloid scars on my chest, shoulders, and jawline from acne as a teen. I really want to get my earlobes pierced but I am afraid that they will keloid. I have had surgery before to have moles and stuff removed on my body but i didn’t keloid where i got them removed. I heard that if you have your ear lobes pierced with a needle its less likely to keloid compared to a gun. Is this true? Also I need some professional advice on what to do. I really really want my ears pieced, i just want a small plug or tapers in my ears, nothing too crazy. Has anyone been in my shoes yet and gotten a peircing? I need advice on what to do and if its wise to take the risk.

better to avoid although midline is more prone to keloids ,
Keloids occur over areas where the skin is tightly stretched…so if you want to pierce your ear lobe…go ahead BUT DO NOT PIERCE THE PINNA( the stiff part of your ears).
