What an inspiration and a coincidence. I am also a woman of color, and the acne scars are just humiliating. It just recently got bad so my mom ordered the skin clear products from Dr. Perricone (just came in the mail. so excited). ProActiv def didn’t work for me either. Anyway, your skin is amazing, so it gives me hope that one day I can have skin like yours too. <3

Ugh! I went to Dr Zizmore when I was about 11 or 12 …such a QUACK!! lol I’ve had eczema even before puberty. But once puberty hit…whoa Nelly! My face and body went bizzerk I was so depressed. So from that time I’ve been taking blood purifiers / internal cleansers and maintaining a healthy diet. I still get the occasional bump here and there but you gotta just roll with it

thanks for this video…I needed to see this…I am going thru this journey now…I went to the dermentology last week and got 4 prescriptions…one being the Retin…so I am going to give it 3 months and see what happens….just like you Proactiv did not work for me either…I used that for like 2 months and NOTHING! But I will give these prescriptions a try….again thanks…this lets me know there is hope for me… =) I will do a video if this work for me….

thankyou for this vid! ive been struggling with this for 16 years and have tried everything found in drugstores and benzazlin and proactiv, which did not work for me either. i dont have insurance now but i will invest in the more expensive store products: murad or ole henrikson. i hope i see some results.
i think people arent happy with fade creams because they are not getting enough of the active ingredient, when you buy it in stores its only 2% and tends not to work

@VJBHearsYou Thank u so much. The chemical peels were not painful at all. U must go to a dermatologist that knows how to treat your skin type. Some peels are a lot harsher than others. The first level of the peels, I felt absolutely nothing, the second and third level I felt just a slight tingling. It didn’t burn at all and it wasn’t painful. U don’t see results that day, but as the week passes u definitely notice a difference. Especially the following week
@cookie198524 The main side effect that I had was the excessive skin peeling due to the Retin A. I also couldn’t really go out in the sun because of the retin a and the lustra unless I wore a lot of sunblock. I didn’t really experience any other side effects. Also before the chemical peels, I had to stop retin a about a month prior.

Gal, u must be my half sister from another mother! Gal, ur experience is me to a t! The only diff is I used the accutane! My folks are docs so they were monitoring me 24/7. I still use RAM. I luv how it makes my skin feel. I had a vitalize peel 2weeks ago. And as u said it cleared all my dark spots.
Question- what peel did u have? Also am searching for a good sunscreen thats not chalky, any recs? Thanks gal! Good job!!!

My dermatologist ut me on a similar regimen I had to put aczone on in the mornings and Retin A at night as well as an oral peel at night within a month my acne was gone!………..Thank you so much for sharing diva!
Great video! I took Retina-A and Tetracycline in high school and college and my skin was flawless back in the day. I’m currently using Differin Lotion 0.1% as of 3 weeks ago for Adult acne & it appears to be clearing the dark spots & break outs rapidly.
