How come I get acne on my face some time after shaving?

I started to shave regularly recently and I noticed that there has been much more acne in the regions of my face where I shave (cheeks/chin areas).
I guessed that the acne has something to do with the shaving. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

CHECK STEP 6! IT WILL HELP YOU!
Acne has an affect on everyone. It is not going to zap away it will take some time.
You Will Need -
• A gentle facial cleanser
• Warm water
• A towel
• Topical acne medication
• Sunscreen
• Patience
• A tissue
• Noncomedogenic cosmetics
• Shaving cream with benzoyl peroxide
• A dermatologist
• Prescription acne medicine
Step 1:
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser with warm water, every morning and night.
Don’t put pressure on your acne it will make acne red and irritated.
Step 2:
Gently dab away water on your face, but don’t take all of the moisture away because it will only make your skin dry. Be careful to wash your face too much because it can irritate your skin. If you have oily skin, get a tissue and wipe the oil away.
Step 3:
Apply a topical acne medication, from a dermatologist or from any store. You can also get lotion, or gel containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
Benzoyl peroxide gets bacteria from the skin and salicylic acid helps unclog pores and prevent your skin from peeling. Get one that fits better for your skin.
Step 4:
Protect your skin with a non-comedogenic sunscreen(sunscreen that doesn’t clog pores). To avoid your skin from way too much sunlight, that can make your acne worse.
Step 5:
Use only non-comedogenic, water-based make-up that is oil-free. There are moisturizers and makeup that is made for people who have acne
Step 6:
Be careful when you shave. Shaving can irritate your skin and shake in only one direnction.
Some shaving creams have benzoyl peroxide, so it can help get rid of your acne.
Step 7:
NEVER squeeze, pop, or pinch acne. It causes more acne and it can make you get scarring.
Step 8:
Try avoid things touching your face, like holding a phone against your face, wearing sports equipment, or resting your chin on your hand.
Step 9:
Keep your hair clean and out of your face. The natural oils in hair can contribute to acne, as can hair products that contain oil.
Step 10:
If you still have acne while taking care of your skin you might want to go to a dermatologist. There are different types of acne and different treatment.
Step 11:
Be patient! Fighting acne can be slow, and it’s not going to zap away in a day. But when you get rid of your acne, you’ll say hello to your new face.

Those aren’t acne bumps,
well it is possible that they are,
but they are most likely razor burn bumps.
If so they should be irritated smallish red bumps.
Razor burn happens most often on the face,
especially if you do not shave with some form of lubrication
like shaving cream or warm water.
Sometimes even with shaving cream,
sensitive skin can become irritated,
try shaving with something more soothing like Aloe Vera
or if you don’t use any at all use a generous amount of shaving cream.
Razor burn bumps!!
Yeah. You are using old fashioned shaving cream that is basically soap (that’s why it foams) and you are getting ingrown hairs from it. Use Bee Royal Shaving Cream. It is a moisturizer but it medicated for shaving. Your face will clear up once you start using it. https://www.beeroyalproducts.com/store/product.php?productid=431&cat=27&page=1
I totally agree with alyssa, but I just want to add that lemon myrtle soap will do wonders too, it has a great lather which is good for shaving, and kill acne, becuase it has really strong germicidal properties.
If it is indeed razor burn, it can be aggravated by germs which is also another job for lemon myrtle.
This is a razor rash and very common especially with sensitive skin.
My son had tons of problems shaving until I bought him this

It works WONDERS!!! never another rash ever again and soft clean shaved feel.
try using an electric razor where u get the bumps… and use the regular razor where your skin isnt so sensitive.
