I’m pretty sure my acne is hereditary because my dad also has really bad acne. How can I get rid of it? I know everyone’s acne is different and different things work for different people, but what helped you the most?

Get good nutrition. These top five nutrients have been shown to have a very positive effect on your skin and in treating acne. These nutrients, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin E, selenium and chromium, can pack a powerful punch in your acne war.
Zinc – Zinc is the Acne stopper. It works in several ways to both treat acne and prevent it. It helps the body regulate certain hormones which prevents acne, but it also helps with wound healing, tissue regeneration and boosting the body’s immune system. Most people in the United States actually have a marginal zinc deficiency, but you can get zinc from many of your favorite foods, such as seeds, nuts, legumes and whole grains.
Vitamin A – Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin that helps you have beautiful, healthy hair and skin. You can find vitamin A from fruits and vegetables. Dark green vegetables and deep yellow vegetables as fruits give you a good dose of vitamin A by providing carotenes. Oatmeal is a good source of vitamin A, as well as cantaloupe, honeydew melon, broccoli, spinach and sweet potato. Liver contains a megadosis: watch out, vitamin A is stored in the body and you can actually get vitamin A poisoning.
Vitamin E – Vitamin E helps to normalize decreased levels of antioxidant enzymes. This is often prevalent in male acne patients, but vitamin E has proven beneficial to both male and female acne sufferers. Almonds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, spinach, broccoli and mango are all great sources of vitamin E.Even a snack as simple as ¼ to ½ cups of raw nuts and seeds can help your skin become clearer and healthier.
Selenium – Selenium works much like vitamin E in that it also helps to normalize decreased levels of antioxidant enzymes. Selenium can be found in foods such as vegetables, meats and bread. Some nuts, such as Brazil nuts and walnuts are also rich in selenium. You can also supplement your diet with selenium, taking 100 to 200 micrograms per day. However, 3 ½ ounces of beef has 35 micrograms of selenium and 3 ounces of tuna has 63. Brazil nuts, though, are the winner with 544 micrograms of selenium per ounce.
Good Luck…
the key word here is "heredity" you can’t change that ♦
Get a good neat balanced diet, go to your Dermatologists ask for Epiduo. It may start disappearing in a few days.
Hereditary? I never heard of it that way before. I’m age 50 now and have 2 grown children. I had minor acne as a Teen, but my son never. So, I don’t think its hereditary to begin with.

Wash your face 2 – 3 times a day.
Use biore or another chemical for such acne.
Stay away from sweetened drinks. Like, Cokes….
Don’t be near those who cook with greasy foods or in a workplace as such. Splatters of grease can cause acne also.

can i suggest sunlight? it is very natural, your body deals with it very well, and oxygen and ultra violet from the sun keep the earth pretty clean. acne is a bacteria, ultra violet is very effective against bacteria and even faster acting against virii, fungus are usually larger and take a longer uv exposure to kill them. germs like bacteria are so small they could never have a thick enough skin to protect themselves from harmful uv rays. another thing you might try is sea salt in hot water to wash your face, it is strong enough to kill bacteria yet it does little to change your natural balances
I had the same problem. I tried everything until I did some research and actually found something that worked for me and a lot of other people. Actually, the key to getting rid of acne only relies partially on your product. The real key to getting rid of acne is creating a regimen that you follow daily. keeping your acne on a schedule is very important. To get rid of acne, the only thing you need is a GENTLE face wash (like noxema or cetiphil), a treatment product containing benzoyl peroxide (preferably nuetregena on the spot), and a good moisturizer. Most people mess up and make their acne WORSE because they fail to realize that using too many/too strong products only further irritate their acne. So it’s important to use a gentle face wash and moisturizer with no active ingredients. And be sure your treatment contains benzoyl peroxide. it works way better than salicylic acid. I’m lucky that I don’t have acne that bad, but my sister does. She uses Proactive Solutions and she loves it. It’s actually cleared up most of her acne, though she has scars.
If you haven’t already tried Proactive, you might be able to find free samples of it just to try out first. I’m not sure if there are any left but you can try here http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/proactive-solution-free-sample
Good luck, I hope that helps
