Early Signs Of Rosacea?
I woke up this morning and when i was putting moisturiser on my face i noticed very small bumps across the bridge of my nose (kind of acne looking), you couldnt really see them unless you looked really closely. They made the skin feel rough to touch and when i scratched them they started to gain a irritated redened look. The spots wont go away when scratching and recently along with this eventuality my girlfriend noticed that the blood vessels just in the opening of my nose were more noticable than normal. Im worried that this is the early stage of rosacea; I’m only 21 and this is really making me worried. can anyone give me any advice?

Worried !
It appears as a red rash which is normally confined to the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. The redness is often accompanied by bumps, pimples, and skin blemishes. Blood vessels may also become more visible on the skin. Blackheads are not a part of rosacea. It is more prevalent in women, but often more severe when found in men. Left untreated, it can cause swelling of the nose and the growth of excess tissue, a condition called rhinophyma. Treatment is often different for rosacea than for acne, and it is important that you consult a doctor can determine if what you are experiencing is acne vulgaris or rosacea.http://www.acnenaturalremedies.com
My rosacea started with a vivid red circle on each of my cheeks. It looked like someone had just slapped me. Then I started getting the bumps. I’ve never had bumps on the bridge of my nose and my bumps don’t feel rough. Not saying that yours isn’t rosacea, it is just that I have never experienced that. My bumps always feel hot and itch. You may just have a rash. I hope so. Whatever it is, don’t scratch it, that never helps. Good luck to you.
worried,
The development of Rosacea usually starts with increased skin sensitivity. One may develop a sudden skin reaction to cosmetic products. Later on, the person appears to blush easily, with reddish patches resembling sunburn making its appearance on his or her face. These first signs are all temporary. The actual symptoms of Rosacea, including flushing of the face, can also be caused by exposure to the sun and alcohol consumption. These will stimulate the blood vessels, normally tiny, to dilate and increase the blood flow to the face, causing it to become reddish in appearance. Women often manifest the redness on the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, while the redness in men usually appear on the nose and on the chest and neck. One of the more unusual forms of the reddish pattern resembles a butterfly. Those who suffer from Rosacea may also develop small, red pimples on the vicinity of the reddish patches of skin. These pimples may be similar to acne, but Rosacea pimples are distinguished by the lack of whiteheads or blackheads. Because of the dilation of the blood vessels, the face may have small, red lines. These are called teleangiectasie. Usually, they can be found on the cheek area. Men with Rosacea are predisposed to a condition called rhinophyma, or the enlargement and inflammation of the nose. This is caused by the increased secretions of the oil glands under the skin. These are usually observed in alcoholics.
