No, acne has little dietary influence (there is some evidence that milk and dietary sugar can play a role, due to their influence on hormones when ingested). I’m guessing your friend is in his teen years, and this is likely just due to the normal fluctuations in hormones which cause changes in the skin and sebaceous gland activity which creates acne in some people. Acne is caused only by an abnormal shedding of skin cells which block the oil glands, creating a a buildup of bacteria (and the acne pimple) in the pores on the skin.
However, since your friend is taking protein supplements, I’m also guessing that he is working out or a body-builder. If he is using any form of steroids, androgens, or testosterone supplementation, these will definitely cause acne. I mention this as a possibility only because steroid use is a problem in the body-building community and among teenagers wanting to bulk-up their bodies.
Your friend should go to a doctor for treatment of his back acne. It can be difficult to treat since topical medications don’t stay on the back very well, due to clothing rubbing them off. An antibiotic, or possibly even Accutane, might be appropriate for him.
ya, that can cause it for some ppl
Wash the back with an anti-bacterial cleanser formulated for the face, such as Cetaphil. Stay away from regular soap. Let skin dry.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
