In my experience, in those patients who are absolutely clear (using the correct dosage) at the three month mark generally don’t have a recurrence of acne. In those who require five or more months to get clear, they generally always need another round or so. And, those who are clear at four months have a fifty/fifty shot at staying clear.
Sorry to say but it will probably come back. By Accutane, you were able to cover the symptoms of acne. But you didn’t actually heal the underlying problem that caused acne in the first place. Find out what your body is trying to tell you and take care of that through a healthy diet or if necessary, medication. Acne can be a sign of faulty digestion, toxic liver, insulin resistance, etc.
I’m taking accutane right now, & next month will be my last month.
I am also worried about this same problem.
I heard that 45% of the people’s acne comes back after one year or more.
But most people are good for a year.
I really hope that when I’m done taking this stuff, my acne is gone & gone for goood!
