I have acne on my chest and back and i am currently using Murad acne body wash and Clarifying spray, but it doesn’t seem to be very effective. The dress that I’m wearing for Christmas is open at the chest and it’s embarrassing with all of my acne. Is there anything I can do to clear most of it up pretty fast without anything expensive or seeing a dermatologist?

if the scarring is not to severe, I would ask a dermatalogist about a dermabrasion treatment instead of this drastic and costly method.
When I was a teen and had a moderate to severe bout of acne they did a treatment on my facial area that involved some dry ice wrapped in gauze and a solution that gently removed several layers of the external skin this treatment was repeated several times in the course of two months and I also was prescribed a topical medication called retinae gel that was applied every night, this also produced a simalar effect and made the scarring very minimal
your age is on your side as to the effects of the acne not being permanent your skin regenerates at a much faster pace that that of person who normally gets this type procedure done ( adult – middle age)
the best deffense against scarring is not to pick or further irratate the acne with harsh cleansing regimes and keeping your skin hydrated( drinking plenty of water at least 80 oz/day)

I am 16 years-old. My cheeks are always red, and it is so annoying especially when I get hot, they get really red. I noticed in pictures, I always have red cheeks, but I guess I never cared…but now I do. Like heated rooms for instance make them ever redder. People giving me stares. It is so embarrassing, awkward, and uncomfortable at the same time. It is ruining my life, and I have gotten to the point that I have to get rid of it, or I can never live a happy life. Yes, I have even considered suicide, so just to show you how big an issue it is to me.
I am desperate for answers. It is not rosacea and I have a little acne on my forehead. But I dont care about acne because every single teenager has acne. What I dont like is having red cheeks because I am the only one with red cheeks. I feel different and it sucks.
I dont want to wear make-up, but are there creams that are good for eliminating red cheeks. I eat healthy, but I dont exercise regularly, which I should. But still, its obviously hereditary, but not from my parents…my sister also has red cheeks all the time too.
Please help me.

hello ppl, im sooo frustrated…i already have acne on my face…and now im suspecting that i might have ezcema and/or rosacea on my face also… the acne is mild, face is dry, skin is flaky, dry patches, some redness on some areas of the face, except the nose and forehead, mainly on the cheeks and chin. my cheeks, in certain spots are sooo itchy too!!! i also have super sensitive skin. so i can’t use any strong chemicals on my face, such as benyzoly peroxide, saccylic acid. ive tried some natural remedies, but no results.
im not sure if its rosacea tho, since im indian, becuz its rare with ppl who aren’t white. plz help me!!!

i use this it worked very well i have very little acne now(i had it on my chest and back too.) one good thing to do is dont pick at your back i did that and it got worse then i stoped and it cleared up so try your hardest not to do that

I need a lotion or something to get read of back acne. If you know any please share. Thanks.

like um, acne or i dont know.???? does acne make someone ugly? i have a little bit on the sides, but its really not bad, and i also have a little bit of rosacea, iguess, if u wan tto call it that..like its a little red around my face, but anywho yeah..what makes someone ugly?

I had terrible acne all throughout high school–so badly in fact that I was put on Accutane twice. I found it to be one of the most emotionally debilitating times of my life. My question is this–do you think society understands how much acne can affect a person psychologically and emotionally? I’ve noticed that people tend to categorize it as something that teens go through and it’s just a natural part of life without acknowledging the damaging effects it can have on a person’s psyche. Thoughts?

I’m going to try apple cider vinegar when I get it in a few days, but I needed my back and shoulder acne to be at least a little better sooner. I tried baking soda (baking soda+water as a scrub in the shower) and it definitely helped, but not completely (which I expected) How long or about how many uses until this treatment clears mild body acne? I have it on my back and shoulders moderately bad. I have a school dance in a couple weeks and all the girls wear strappy dresses that show off your backs. How do i get rid of the acne?

I have red blotchy patches on either side of my nose, and when I went to the doctor about it, she told me it was plain old “acne vulgaris”.
She gave me some pretty useless advice about caring for oily skin, and told me birth control pills will help, so I started them.
Trouble is, my skin is not oily. It’s really dry. In fact it’s breaking because it’s so dry. I did try to point this out, but didn’t want to contradict my doctor.
The pill is not helping my skin at all (after 2 months of it), and all face-wash products (even ultra-mild ones) are just drying the skin even more.
Could this really be acne? Should I shell out to see another doctor?

She has gone to a lot of dermatologists and they either don’t know, or say it’s rosacea or a form of acne. But everything they have given her has not worked.
She is currently on Accutane which is a really strong antibiotic. She is on a course of 5 months. She has taken it for 3 months now. It has not gotten better, if not even worse. They are open sores, with pus inside them, they feel like they have liquid in them. They scab over but then pop with the pus trickling out of them. She has them in several places on her face as you can see in the picture. She is devestated with this, and no one knows what this is. Does anyone have this problem, or does anyone know what it can possibly be? Also if anyone has taken accutane, can you tell me what it was for and if it worked?

I want my skin to clear up before high school starts in two weeks. I have mild acne, and my skin is gets really oily. Right now, I’m using the new neutogena pink grapefruit cleanser, the nuetrogena acne stress control toner, and a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment.
